Day +77 from Transplant. Thought we would get good news from clinic today, but it was just the same......HE IS DOING FANTASTIC! Our regular NP Andre and Dr. Prasad were not in clinic today. So, our stand-ins (Dr. Martin and NP Erica) said we would need to wait until Dr. Prasad and Andre returned before any changes could take place. We are hoping that we may get to start going to clinic two days per week instead of three. Also, once school is back in session, there may be a chance that we will be able to take Tyler to a Matinee, as long as there are no other children in the theater. That should be fun. Our focus now is on day 100. Around the last week of January, all testing done prior to transplant will be done again. To see what has gotten better, worse or stayed the same. It will also be a time when the docs here will contact a pediatric oncologist in Albuquerque. That way Duke will have a relationship with a doc in ABQ for Tyler's progress. You know, I never realized how much this has affected me. It is easy to just keep going (I am not an Everready Bunny). I think I need to start a MOM support group (Mimi's of MLD). Actually, I have received so much support from my MLD friends, my support group both here (Faith Fellowship) and in ABQ (especially PHS and Calvary Temple). You know in the Bible, there is a story where Moses was praying for Isreal to win a war. But every time he let his arms down, Aaron and Ur would come underneath to raise his arms up, thus allowing Isreal to win. Trust me......that is what you are to ME! Please pray for Tyler's Great-great Grandpa Charles Parker. He is almost 90 and has been diagnosed with cancer. Thanks for checking on us and we love you all! Tyler and Julie
