Hello from Texas.  We came in on Tuesday afternoon and will hopefully be going home Friday night.  This is quite a place, although a sad place to see all the sick people.

I was able to go to Tyler's appointment Tuesday morning before our flight.  We had our visit with the rheumatologist and he looked over Tyler and was able to see the spots we were talking about but Tyler also has some other spots that are more of a raised rash.  He really didn't have too much to offer about what could be causing the spots.  Normally kids that have petechia and it means something is wrong are sick and of course Tyler is not sick.  He basically said that there is nothing that we/or they need to do right now.  He said that these spots may just go away and we will never know the reason for them or there may be something come up and we will know that those were the first clues that something was going on and we will deal with it then.  So for now no biopsy and no follow up appointment just let them know if anything changes.  So I guess we will just wait and see.

He has maintained his weight since the last time we were down there so that is an improvement.

We still have the allergy appointment in July but it actually seems like his cold symptoms have eased up a bit so I am unsure if he really still needs that appointment or if we are getting out of allergy season and that is why he is clearing out?  I will call our nurse and see what she thinks.

Its funny how we meet people that are connected through Tyler's site.  We were racing in Butler last Friday night (which David won) and a lady came up to us in the pits and said that she reads Tyler's website and when they were introducing David's car on the track she realized that it was us.  Of course I got a hard time for the long time between updates, but like I told her that we have been so normal there is nothing to talk about.  Which is a good thing.  So gal from Butler, here is your update, hopefully I won't have anything else for a while :)

I guess that is it here from HOT Houston Texas,

Trish

We love getting messages in the guestbook. It reminds us of how many wonderful people are in our lives and pray for Tyler. One day Tyler will read these and see what he means to so many people and know they followed his story through his journey.
