SPECIAL EVENT FOR TROY OLSON & FAMILY

On Saturday January 17, 2009 we will be holding a special event in honor of and to raise money for Troy Olson and his family. The event will begin at 3:00 p.m. and will be held at the Ukrainian Center located at

301 Main Street Northeast, Minneapolis, Minnesota
. The event will include a dinner, bake sale and silent auction. There will be a party immediately following the dinner at Scott & Troy’s 1029 Bar in Northeast, Minneapolis.

On January 25, 2008, Troy was involved in a very serious snowmobile accident. He hit a tree and suffered from a punctured lung, numerous broken ribs, a broken collarbone, a broken scapula, a lacerated liver, and a brachial plexus injury to his right arm.

On November 10, 2008 he underwent surgery for a muscle and nerve transplant. The muscle transplant surgery was unsuccessful. So far, however, the nerve transplant appears to be working.

As many of you know, Troy is co-owner of Scott & Troy’s 1029 Bar. Both he and his brother-in-law Scott actively work at the bar. Troy has only been able to work very limited hours since the accident and has many, many months (if not years) of expensive physical therapy ahead of him and might only partially regain the use of his right arm.

Both Troy and his wife Stacy and their three children (Jake age 13, Nick age 11, and Angelique age 9) are active in both the community and their church. Troy is also an active member of the City Heat Motorcycle Club, which was founded in order to support local charities and police officers.

Tickets are on sale now to the event and we are in need of donations. The cost will be $15 for adults and $10 for children. If you have any questions or wish to purchase, donate or assist in selling tickets, please contact one of the following three people:

Lainie Berntsen Cell phone: 763-567-3220

If you have an item that you would like to donate for the silent auction please contact Lainie Berntsen.

The Olson’s are such a warm and giving family – we are excited to be able to give something back to them. We hope to see you all there.

Please send any donations you would like to go directly to the family in care of Sandra Simco,

1101 Pearson Parkway, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota 55444
.

Hope to see you there! Thank you again for all your support!

Sandra, Lainie & Marlo
