A Superman Celebration!!!

We have so much to share and I promise to do so SOON! We so often depend too much on Facebook for updates and forget that some of you aren't on Facebook. I apologize!:( For now though, we want to invite you to a birthday/good luck party for Travis THIS Sunday at my home (Aunt Mindy and Uncle Troy's). We have MUCH to celebrate and I'm not just talking about Trav's 24th birthday!!! As I said, I will update more in detail soon, but after a recent swallow study on December 20th, Travis is able to eat VERY small amounts of mashed potatoes and a few other puréed foods. It's under VERY strict guidelines, but it is SUCH a HUGE answer to prayer. Can you even imagine not having any food in your mouth for two and a half years? Travis has had to live that:( but he is making progress and we are SO thankful!!!! God continues to answer our prayers, and we never EVER lose sight of this (even though it's not quite at the speed Travis or any of us would prefer;) but that's okay!).
Next week on January 9th, Travis and Lynna will be leaving for Galveston where Travis will be spending the next six months at the Transitional Learning Center to receive intensive rehab for brain injury patients. This is HUGE!!!! While Trav's miracles are MANY, his struggles are also still MANY. We absolutely covet your prayers for Travis and the people at TLC who will be working with him, Lynna and Scott as they will often be traveling to and from Galveston which will be costly and exhausting and also selfishly for those of us (mainly Mama Bear!) who have been so spoiled getting to love on and be blessed by our miracle man every day at home. Our hearts are going to ache daily....except when we are visiting him...but that FAR outweighs the benefits TLC offers for our Superman in reaching his goals!!! This is a GOOD thing; better yet, this is a GOD thing!!!!
Back to the matter at hand ~ come meet the Superman, wish him well, give him a birthday hug, and be amazed at the miracle from God he is...especially if you haven't seen him in a long time! The party is THIS Sunday the 6th at our home on Wentwood Circle in Hewitt. It's Come-and-Go from 1:00 to 3:00, and Superman is the theme!
