Clinical Trial

Just a quick update today!  Tori had an appointment in Columbus today to take the next step with the clinical trial.  I had a commitment at work and couldn't make it so her sister Brittany went down with her.  They did more blood work and tests.  They will mail her chemo drugs to her this week and she will begin taking them on Friday.

She may have a few issues over the first month while they determine what dosage her body can handle, but we are hoping that is minimal.  She will need to go back to Columbus for the next four weeks in a row and then twice a month after that and eventually it will just be monthly.

Tori is still feeling great.  She is doing some babysitting and starting to pack up her apartment as she will be switching apartments in a couple weeks.

i mentioned in a previous email that Tori is ready to start giving back to the organizations who have helped her.  She will be a virtual rider for the Pelotonia Ride which will be in Columbus on Aug 9.  The ride raises money for OSU - The James Cancer Center where Tori has been treated, had her transplant and now is able to participate in the clinical trial.  If you care to donate to her walk or just check it out, you can click on her link.
Also, Majestic Oak Winery (just West of Whitehouse) is having a benefit in Tori's honor to raise money for The James.  Come join us for some food and a glass of wine on Aug 7.   See attached link.

Thanks for for your support and continued prayers!

Cancer sucks, but we ARE beating this!
