Psalm 121 A Pilgrim Song
1-2 I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains? No, my strength comes from God, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.
3-4 He won't let you stumble, your Guardian God won't fall asleep. Not on your life! Israel's Guardian will never doze or sleep.
5-6 God's your Guardian, right at your side to protect you— Shielding you from sunstroke, sheltering you from moonstroke.
7-8 God guards you from every evil, he guards your very life. He guards you when you leave and when you return, he guards you now, he guards you always.
This is still one of my favorite Psalms. I am heading to the mountains in a few hours. I thought I better catch you all up on how I am doing.
I have started the experimental drug (Revlimid/placebo). I think I must be getting the real drug. I have had a few red spots and itching. I can take Benadryl or Claritin for it, so that helps. Nothing has been severe like the hives in Houston. I haven't had anything now for the past few days. There for awhile I thought I was going to be adding spots each day, but they went away as fast as they came.
Our friends are here from the Chicago area. They always come in the day before, spend the night, and then we drive out together. Ken presented me with a really special gift yesterday when they arrived. He had taken my journal entries and put them in booklet form. It is so special. He brought us 6 copies. I was rereading it last night to Haley and she learned a few things that she didn't know. The booklet form is so wonderful. What a special gift!
I also have something fun to do with my class from last year. Dr. Hughes' wife called this week and asked me if I would be interested in being on a survivor calendar. It will be a 16 month calendar starting in November of this year. She said the theme was to take a photo with what I live for. I wasn't sure how to photograph that I live for the Lord so she suggested maybe I would like to invite my class. I thought that would be a great idea. I don't have all the details yet, but I will contact the parents and students when I hear more. Doesn't that sound like fun!!
I better run for now. I will check my email and this site occasionally from Colorado. Have a good week.
