Light the Night Team Tomas 2017 (http://pages.lightthenight.org/va/Frdrcksb17/teamtomas)

Welcome to our CaringBridge site. It has been created to keep friends and family updated about Tomas.

Tomas was diagnosed (DX) with Pre-B Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) on 6 September 2007.

He began treatment on 7 September.

Please read the journal entry from 5 November 2007 for an analogy.

It is going to be a two to three year journey from the Induction to the consolidation phase that will eventually lead to the maintenance phase.

Journal entry by Paul Nichols

Today marks 14 years since Tomas was diagnosed.

It seems like it was a lifetime ago yet the memories are still fresh in my mind.  I don't think the memories will ever go away.

Anyways, Tomas is doing great, he will start his second years at Drexel on the 20th. He made the Dean's List last year, it look like he is pretty much locked on for his Physicians Assistant degree....... in four years, it is a five year program.

He spent the summer working full time, he is an EMT at a ambulance transport company in Philadelphia. He ended up staying at a friend's parents house across the river from Philly.
