It has been a tough weekend for Tobin, as the effects of the lumbar puncture lingered. The pain subsided quite a bit, but in place of the back pain he got a headache. We were at a friend's birthday party on Saturday afternoon, and the kids were in the pool for about 2 hours. Tobin felt no pain at all, but within about 10 minutes of getting out, his head really hurt and I thought he was going to pass out.
We tried to go to church this morning, but after about 5 minutes of sitting, Tobin was feeling awful, so we went home and he immediately stretched out on the couch.
Tobin looked at the positive side of things. We watched the Wimbledon final and then Tobin and Frank played Game Cube for the rest of the afternoon. Since Tobin was able to do all of this lying down, it was a good afternoon for him.
On Monday we will be back down at SickKids for another MRI and we will get the result from the lumbar puncture. It's hard waiting, but that's the way it happens sometimes.
Tobin is plotting his return to good health so that he'll be able to play ball and go to Camp Ooch. Goals are good to have!
Please pray. Getting good news from the doctors about the lumbar puncture is the first thing we need this week. We'll take each thing as it comes.
I almost forgot to mention that my dad will be flying in from Calgary this week. We're looking forward to having him here. My mom will stay in Calgary for now. Katriel has been busy playing with different friends. She knows that she can always come to the hospital, but she has decided to play instead. Smart girl!
