A month has gone by since our last visit here.
Praise the Lord!!!
Here's the latest.
Tom went back to work 2 weeks ago! He's doing fabulous! Each day he's feeling a little better. He's adjusting to his schedule. He's working 4-10 hour days. He's in his company's new training department. From this end (wife's) the new job sounds really exciting. I'll have Tom give you his angle when he can. Tom started drinking one of the new antioxidant drinks on the market and is really feeling good about his energy level. He said one day he went in feeling energized and ready for 12 hours.
Tom's latest CT scan showed no tumor recurrence and basically looked good.
I have asked for prayer for Jim and Aimee (PMP friends) before. I just found out this morning that Jim is headed for hospice. Could you pray for them. They have a little girl and this disease has been such an incredible battle for them. Aimee, in case you read this. I love you and am thinking about the three of you every day.
Gosh, each time our little PMP community looses a dear one, Tom and I are reminded that God has been our healing foundation. He gave Tom an immune system that fights on and wins the battle each go round.
This cancer is like a house that needs desperate spring cleaning. We have come to realize that in this spring cleaning, we discover that our mind, body and spirit have needed to get 'cleaned' as well. For me, my walk with Christ has been my cleaning project for the last 4 years. I'll ask Tom to share his another time.
This became really clear to me two weeks ago. I was given the blessing of a New Client. A motorcycle shop was in distress and they have hired me to audit the shop and make recommendations. I haven't been in a work place in almost 4 years. My last two clients have been handled here at home. I've been somewhat removed from the world at large. My life has basically been, Tom, my kids, my girlfriends and church. Today I'm spending my days with 'biker dudes'. It's lovely!!!
For those of you that have written and not heard back, we are starting to catch up. Thank you so much for thinking about us.
Love Denise and Tom
