Friends,
I was thinking about our big, bad earthquake today....I was at one of my clients in Corona (the epicenter was about 5 miles away) (2 miles from our house in Yorba Linda), the quake wasn't the usual type, with the slow rolling, building up to a big shake and so forth...this was a big (huge)....bang...and then another and then the shaking...forget the rolling...(you might note that I hate earthquakes)....as it has gone I have always been home with my children when we have had earthquakes. This time my little guy was at his first day at his new day care. Without me! That was the worst part of the drama. While everyone was scurrying out of the building, I grabbed my cell phone and tried calling home. My son is home from college right now. He finally answered, said he would go and get Jacob and take him home. Ok..I'm feeling a little better now. Yorba Linda had two big aftershocks...Phillip called and told me that we have a new...really big crack in our living room, the pool needed to have about 3 inches of water put in it and all of Chelsea's collection of fairies...fell and broke...(she's away this summer and I haven't broke the news) the best part.......Jacob held out both arms and said.....wowwwwwwwww......and then smiled and said....."pretty awesome"!!! All was well with the world!...
This has been a tough year for our friends from the PMPawareness.org site. We've lost 5 friends. Soon our Non Profit organization will be up and running. Between awareness and fund raising perhaps we will see preventative treatments that will give longer and more quality lives to those that suffer from PMP. Just in 4 years, the heated chemo treatment during surgery (HIPEC) Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy has gained notoriety for treating colon, abdominal and other peritoneal surface cancers. This is all good news.
Wishing everyone well!
Denise
