Corrina and I went into the hospital today to make some mugs for the parents who have kids inpatient right now. There is a  group at Sutter that is made up of families who have been there, as well as various hospital staff who want to make it a better place for families if they have to be in the hospital. We pass out mugs for Holidays, and today Cori and I were able to make and pass out 40 mugs which was nice. As we were delivering them to the rooms, we passed through the "Double Doors"  that put us through to where we spent a whole lot of time. She hesitated and I thought to myself, oh boy, this may not be a good thing for her to be doing. Where as I know I get alot out of giving back in this way she's little and may not have that desire yet. I asked her if she was okay, and she looked at me and said, you know Mom I'm great. I was just thanking God in my head for our time here I don't know if I would love my Brother as much as I do if we had never been here. WOW, something big is working in her little spirit. My hard moment of the day was visiting the family that was in our very first room, it held a child near Tommy's age of diagnosis. If that wasn't bad enough the parent volunteered the information that the child had the stomach flu. YIKES, I just nodded and headed quickly to the door. I had been there and heard that not that long ago. One nice thing was talking with another oncology family, I think I was able to give them hope as it must be wearing on the poor mommy right now. They have been inpatient for almost three weeks already, and I thought, yeah, I've been there too.

Tommy is doing great. Beyond wonderful, turning into a crazy I want it all and I want it all NOW two year old. Completely appropriate for the age, and even though there are times I want to scream, TOMMY GET DOWN NOWWWWW!!!! For the most part it is wonderful, and precious. I could do without the girl screams he's been up to as of late, but ;)

Have a wonderful fourth of July. Last year we celebrated at SMH and this year we get to be home, so it's a blessing.
