Good morning!! Today is the anniversary of my diagnosis, that means I am a one year cancer survivor! Yay. It is a horrible disease and those that have been diagnosed go through many nasty treatments. I continue to pray for the many new friends this disease has brought me, I pray for them to continue to improve. I am thankful for the friends and family that have supported me and continue to support me in this journey.
I have graduated to needing to see both my PC and oncologist every three months, which is wonderful for me because I now only have to be stuck twice every quarter. I am growing hair like crazy, it doesn't look very long becasue it is so curly but it is getting there.
Last year I wanted to do the Race for the Cure and was not permitted because my surgery was two days before the race. This year I am able to participate, I am very excited to be taking part in this day of celebration for the survivors and memorializing those who have lost this fight, I have lost threefriends to this disease this year. So I am doing the race hoping to keep money flowing for research, free mammograms, etc.
