First 3-monthly check up with Oncologist held yesterday. The blood tests results are what is important and it has taken 24 hours to get them. Well, the doctor just called and said biochemistry of blood is fine (includes liver function, kidney function etc,) hemoglobin is the same as last time and platelets are fine, the only abnormality is the white cell count which is a bit lower than normal. He isn't sure what causing this and wants to check all the vitamins in my blood. I asked if I should be taking multi-vitamin and he said wait till he does the blood test first. He/they will do the test next week when I am there for the Mabthera (the maintainence chemotherapy). He said all the things that are markers for my disease (like the alkaline phosphatase) are all 'plumb normal' and just to keep doing whatever it is I'm doing! Sangmo
