We saw Dr Boulton again this morning. the xrays show that the tibia is holding up. Ted is released to return to work Jan 2. He cannot run at all, just walk. He cannot carry anything heavier than 10lbs because The doctor does not want the bone to be under additional strain. So no graft. In some ways it seems hard to believe that we are at this point.

We are back home now. The frame removal went smoothly and Ted is fairly comfortable. He wore his jeans home! Now we just need to get through the next 2 weeks without any problems from the tibia.

  • Frame Removal!

Ted is ensconced in a lovely hospital bed at Md General ( now known as University of MD Midtown Campus) waiting for Dr Boulton and the anesthesiologist to talk to him before surgery.  Project Frame Removal is a go!  We brought jeans for Ted to wear home.  I will post again tonight once we get home.
