My Story

We are eagerly awaiting the birth of our second son, Taylor Davis Sherry. We have scheduled a C-section on May 23rd at 7:30am at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood. During a routine ultrasound on March 28th, we were informed that Taylor will be born with a cleft lip and possibly a cleft palate as well.

Taylor's first birthday was this past Wednesday, but we celebrated today because it was the first really free day we had. We all had a great time. Taylor is eating all kinds of things--chocolate cake, cheese, bananas, cooked carrots or green beans, garlic bread, even hot dogs! (And because his party was outside on one of the nine beautiful summer days we usually get in Minnesota, he probably ate at least one dandelion.)

What a year it has been. We'd like to thank all of you who have walked through it with us in various ways. If you haven't yet met Taylor, we hope that you get a chance to soon--he's a wonderfully smiley little guy, who laughs more than he cries these days. Thank you so much for all you've done in his journey.
