We Three are off to CAMP SUNSHINE for a week !
I'll write to you from there.
Last night we went to the fireworks with my entire family and it was great. An interesting thing happened. Our baby is not a baby anymore. Every year since Lily was born we've gone to the fireworks and Olivia and I took turns holding her in our arms as we watched the show. This year, Olivia and I found ourselves sitting on some rocks and Lily was off with her bigger cousins watching. Olivia and I were talking about how strange it felt to not have Lily with us. So Olivia went over to where Lily was and sat down next to her and said" I want to sit with you and watch..." Lily looked at Olivia and didn't say a word. Then Lily got up and went and sat with her older cousin also named Olivia, leaving her mama sitting with a little boy she didn't even know. Olivia returned to our rock and sat down with me, we realized that our baby
is growing up and is very independent. It was a feeling of happiness and bittersweet yearning. Lily is growing up. "But she's only five..." boo-hoo...
