DC Memorial- December 7th at 2pm

The memorial for our mother will be held at the Chevy Chase Village Hall at 2pm on Saturday, December 7, 2013 followed by a reception.  Directions are below.

For people asking about tributes, our family is asking that donations to be made to the non-profit Ladies’ Turn in honor of Suzanne.  There is an option to donate a “gift in honor of.” More information on the choice of Ladies’ Turn can be found in the November 12, 2013 entry of the journal (two entries ago).

(Located at the intersection with W. Kirke Street two blocks from the Chevy Chase Circle on the border between DC and Maryland)

Parking is available on surrounding neighborhood streets and along Connecticut Avenue.  Just be sure to pay attention to any street signs.

Public Transportation: The DC Metro Trip Planner can be useful in planning your trip:

From Friendship Heights Metro: The Hall is about a 20 minute walk from the Friendship Heights Metro station (red line).  After you exit the metro, take Western Avenue to Connecticut Ave (at the Chevy Chase Circle )  Alternatively, there are Metro Ride On Buses and the L8 Bus that run between the metro and Connecticut Ave. 

From Connecticut Ave, DC by Bus: The L1 and L2 buses run up Connecticut Avenue toward Maryland, stopping right before Chevy Chase Circle on the DC side.

Hotels: There are two hotels very close to the Friendship Heights Metro.

Courtyard Marriott at Chevy Chase

Embassy Suites at the Chevy Chase Pavilion
