Obituaries

The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times published obituaries for my mother today.  The links are below.  We are very grateful to Meg, Judy, and Stefan at UCLA for all of their work to make this happen.  Her obituary was also published in the The Fort Dodge Messenger on Friday.

We were very grateful to be with our family this weekend in Fort Dodge for a small ceremony and burial. We would like to thank all of the friends from Fort Dodge who came to support our Bianchi family and celebrate our mom's life.

The DC memorial for our mother will be held on December 7, 2013.  We will post the location and time as soon as that is finalized.  If you think you may attend the memorial in DC, please let our family friend Robin Barnes (cchandl@aol.com) know.

Right next to Doris Lessing’s in the print edition- not too shabby mom!  Two feminists, two VERY different lives.

One of her former teachers at St. Edmond’s High School brought it into his class to share with his students.

Her former student, Phil Cohen, also wrote a very thoughtful tribute to my mother.  My grandma liked it:
