Susan Tifft's Journal

I hope you are well. I want to thank you for your many, many expressions of sympathy and condolence and shared grief. They have meant the world to me, and I know that Susan was dear to you too.
For those who were not able to be at the Memorial Service on April 23, Harvard did an audio/video recording that captures the essence of it and then created a link - which is below. The production is simple, but I think that you will not mind that.
I remain in a kind of bewildered disbelief, but I also feel Susan's presence often. I hope that never fades.

Written Apr 2, 2010 9:04amDear and beloved friends,
There will be a memorial service to celebrate Susan's life at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 23 at Memorial Church at Harvard. You are most welcome.
If you think you will attend, it would be helpful to us if you would simply email that fact to firstname.lastname@example.org. She is the executive director of the Shorenstein Center, a dear friend to Susan and me, and she is going to try to keep track so we can make sure there is plenty to eat and drink...very important at a Susan Tifft event!
I am linking the obits that ran in The Boston Globe, The Duke Chronicle, and the one by my brother, John, in The Greeneville Sun, our family's newspaper. Each amazing.
With much love, Alex
