WOW!!! They say the less that you have the more you learn to appreciate and live in the moment.. I think Steven should think about writing a book, he sure has the inspiration and insight to do so. I'm glad that things are going well under the circumstances, Steven you've come a long way.  One year seems like a long time when your young the older you get the time starts to fly by.  Keep up with the positive outlook, even when you're down.  You're lucky to have a family that cares so much about you.  I think about you often and really appreciate the updates.  Carol and Ernie appreciate the good times as well as the bad, you still have him!  Yes he's changed but the insights he has are something to be very proud of... Take care of yourselves!!  Hugs to all of you. :)

Hello Steven and Sharp Family,

It is wonderful to hear all that Steven is doing. The hard work and determination are paying off, slowly but surely. I love that Steven is walking the lazy river, going to weddings, to parties, and dancing in his own way. I was surprised to read that he is horseback riding and going down tall slides - he still has that motocross drive within. I don't think people ever lose that, no matter what happens to them physically - the love of life and excitement remains. His spirit and spark are still very much Steven, it seems. I praise God for that.

I also pray for the family, that they continue to have strength and stamina, and that they will continue to see the progress amid the time and work. It's truly a combination of both: difficult moments and wonderful moments. Life.

Thank you for the update. Prayers and blessings be yours!

Hello Steven and family,

I just wanted to say hi and let you know we keep you in our prayers and are so happy to hear how things are improving.  Amber and Joann were at Craig this morning and ran into the Bakich family.  I don't know if you remember them but they are from Montana and their son had a car accident.  They may have come just after you left.  Anyway, it was an unexpected class reunion of sorts and good to hear how everyone is doing.

Please do reach out if you're ever in the Cheyenne area.  Best to all of you,

Jo McGuire (Amber's sister in law)

Dear Steven...we just read your latest entry and are so proud of all your accomplishments this past year...we know from visiting Andrea and seeing her workouts at Craig, just how much of a struggle this whole thing is for both of you, but you both are making such great strides...someday, as you look back on all of this, you will realize that this was just a bump in the road of your very long life...keep up the fantastic work you are doing...this is the hardest job you will ever have...all futures jobs will be "a piece of cake" compared to this...prayers continue for you...much love...Andrea Briggs' grandparents from North Carolina..

Hello to the Sharp family! Good to read your update, thanks. Steven, you are such a fighter. God has seen you through this past year of ups and downs, forwards and backwards, BUT He has never left your side. Thank you for being God's assurance that He hears and answers our prayers. Keep up your hard work, and realize how much you inspire me to not whine and snivel over lifes little challanges.  Hugs, Susan

Hello Steven and Sharp Family,

I can't believe it has been a year. It is very difficult for me to even write in your guestbook because, like you, my hopes for you have not been entirely realized. I hoped and prayed that you would be walking by now, and be able to do more things for yourself. I also wanted you to have more of your life back, and it pains me that you don't.

Since I'm a strong believer in Jesus, I suppose my faith in what God can do turned into expectation. But, I am often reminded that my timing is not God's timing, His plan is not per my plan. So, disappointment settles in, and prayer amounts as to 'When then?', you know? I love how Carol wrote that Steven realizes that his goals are not mere hopes, but they will be realized in the future. For that, I praise God; and for that, I am thankful for Steven's continued perseverance.

I also want to say that Steven has incredible parents, and incredible, loving and good family. We as parents think that the birth of our children bring out so much love from within us; but, life is tested in hardship, as well as faith. Loving deeply through 'thick' and thin, being faithful to the end -- these are the tests of great love, faith, and hope.

While I have not continued to pray every single day for Steven and the family, I never completely forgot. I do not know any of you personally, but via online only - yet, my heart and my prayers, and my thoughts toward you and for you run personal, spiritual and deep. How can a life not affect us all? It does. Yours does, Steven. You reach people you don't even realize, and they pray for you.

Thank you for the update, and I wish you a very nice summer. I wish you continued improvement, and look for the day when your goals will be realized and attained. God Bless You.

Hi Steven,

my name is sue jones.  I worked with your Mom at the VNA at the front desk.  I have followed your progress since the beginning.  I'm very happy you are doing so well.  I wanted to tell you that I was at Craig Hospital from Jan6,2010 until April 14th.  I was there because a surgery for my lower spine paralyzed my legs.  I was extremely lucky to have done my rehab with Craig Hospital. I was able to wrap my mind around what happened because of their support.  I work out with my program from there every day, it keeps me focused and helps me to remain in a positive frame of mind.  If you would like to meet and talk please email or call me.  email:tomsuejones@bresnan.net; phone number is 824-4963.  My house has a ramp and big deck so it's accessable to you if you would like to come here.  I'm very proud of you Steven for all the effort you have put in to your recovery.  It's been extremely challenging for me, I can relate to all you have accomplished!
