We had some bad news last week, Steve's counts (platelets) dropped and he had a bone marrow at the Cleveland Clinic. He relapsed and now we are looking at going back to Cleveland for the full stem cell transplant. This was unhappy news for us, since he had been doing so well. The last few weeks he has been having a slight temp off and on, in the 99 range.
Dr. Sobecks wants to do the myeoblative, which would mean he would be in the Cleveland Clinic 4-6 weeks, then to Hope Lodge, we're hoping, once he is able to be discharged from the hospital. Unfortunately, I have used my FMLA, and would have to take a personal leave, so we are working out those details, which means I may only be able to go on the weekends to see him. But, our 2 daughters will be off for the summer, they both work part time but can get some time off I'm sure. We are also arranging for family/friends to stay with Steve at the Hope Lodge, along with myself and our 2 daughters. We have appreciated all the support from family and friends and will keep Steve's progress updated. We are encouraged by knowing God is with us and that we are never alone, no matter what the circumstances. Thanks all for continuing to keep Steve and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
