Mother's Day....a time to reflect on your mother, the woman who gave you life...the woman that kissed your boo boo's and made them better, who wiped your tears when someone hurt you, who loved you unconditionally, who picked you up when you fell down and who told you she would always be there for you. Some people did not have that kind of mother, but yet they turned to God to do all of these same things for them, leaned on HIM when they needed that unconditional love, that lift when they fell. As tomorrow approaches and you reflect on your own mother......just let her know she matters to you. Give her that "hug", that kiss or those 3 words every mom loves to hear...."I love you". We will celebrate Mother's Day at our church with our church family. I have already gotten 2 of my gifts....Zoe planted a beautiful flower at daycare and made a card that said how special "Nana" was to her. The Taylor children also kept their momma's promise to her dear friend and did not let Mother's Day pass without a special something from them to Stephanie's mom. Zoe may only be 3 but she still asks.....her little heart is so open and she is so sincere when she looks at me and asks "Nana....will my mommy still be in Heaven when I get there? Nana...will Jesus come get me some day like He did my mommy?" I only know to hold her and tell her yes baby, Jesus will one day come and get us all and your mommy is going nowhere but Heaven. She needs to hear that her mommy has a house in Heaven and I remind her she has a Mansion that God Promised her she would have. I know one day her questions will get deeper and I will have to give her actual scripture from God's Word to satisfy her but for now Nana's reassurance seems to work:>) Zoe is very happy and most of the time very talkative.....but she also has a mind that wonders at times. She will ask the smartest little questions and keeps us all on our toes. After church tomorrow we will visit the cemetary and let her place a rose from church with mommy......we did the same last year and she remembered and asked if she could do that again so this seems to be her wish for Mother's Day. Danny found a beautiful little angel necklace and so he got both Zoe and Cassidy one for Mother's Day. They will have their own angel with them to show off. I just had this desire to wish all of the mommies reading tonight to have a wonderful day tomorrow and the men reading to love that special woman in your life,....your wife, your mom, your daughter who might also be a mom and say a kind word to all moms tomorrow as you pass them, you just never know if they have heard that today or maybe their only child is no longer with them and they miss those words........be especially kind tomorrow and hug a little longer and kiss a little sweeter. God Blessed some lucky woman with each of you.....whether she is here for you to call or in her Mansion for you to send a kiss upwards......have a Happy Mother's Day. We plan on doing the same. Love to you all.....
