Hello! My name is Stephanie. On Monday, (4/16) I went to my gyno and found out I had a cervical polyp (or so he thought) that needed to be removed by surgery. I went to have outpatient surgery that Friday (4/20) and the biopsy came back cancer.

6 months ago at this time.........whew, it has been just 6 months ago and yet it feels like forever. So much happening and yet nothing. I'll start with the Foundation that Stephanie was so passionate that we begin to educate young women about HPV and the Gardasil vaccine and the need to take care of their bodies and to have annual checkups and paps and above all to be God fearing women. The Foundation is official....The Stephanie Vasofsky Cervical Cancer Foundation has been started. Kristen has one more phone call with the people about the piece to make us a charitable Foundation and we are done. Pray for that to go smoothly and then we can begin the work laid before us.......education. Randy posted a few pics of Zoe.....her eyes sometimes are just so sad. I wonder what must be going on in her little head and what she thinks. She was sitting in my lap the other night rocking and looked at Steph's portrait on the wall and began waving....she then looked at me and said "Nana, I waving at my mommy but her not wave back".....I reminded her that her mommy is in Heaven and she said "Oh-h-h", she has this way of drawing out that short little word, then she said "Nana....my mommy not sick?".....I told her no, your mommy is not sick, in fact she was waving her angel wings at her so keep waving Baby Zoe, because your mommy sees you and knows you are thinking of her. She is speaking plainer and with the help of Little Bears (her daycare) she is potty trained!!!! She is so proud of herself and Randy has bought her a whole wardrobe of "big girl panties" that she proudly shows and tells everybody she has on. God is working and reminding us so often that Stephanie's work on this earth is opening doors for us to speak of her and what she endured and how she endured to help others. She is Home in Glory and singing and shouting but she left a legacy that people are beginning to aks us to share. Melissa has begun working on the 2nd annual Stephanie Vasofsky Benefit Walk so keep your eyes and ears peeled for more info. Remember that the website www.feelteal.org is still up and will have all of the info uploaded before long. 6months..... not very long at all in the big picture of things, but so-o-o much has happened in those 6 months. I will ask you all to continue to pray for our family. Grieving is different for each of us....I barrel into it headlong knowing and remembering all of the times shared with Stephanie, all of the phone calls and watching the video the nannies did brings great joy ot my heart because I remember........Danny, Tad and Randy all have their own way of coping and they need you to lift them up for strength. I guess it is just harder on men sometimes......they hold more inside. I tend to just let it out and share.....I share Stephanie with everyone who wants to talk. People are always saying things like "Do you mind me asking.....are you o.k. if I ask you....." Trust me, it is because of you, all of our dear prayer warriors and Stephanie's friends that I keep going. I feel as if I now have many surrogate daughters and for that I thank you all. 6 months.......whew. I know what I have done in these 6 months to praise God... for Stephanie and all that she did in her short life on this old earth, to try to keep my family afloat, to help with the Foundation beginning, to cater and do for others with weddings and birthdays etc.......6 months.....have you made a difference in anyone's life lately as you did in our family with your love and support and prayers? If not then please....find a friend who now needs your love and support and add them to your prayers when you pray for us, it will make a difference. We love you

Mom
