Happy 18 Month Birthday, Sophie! (Who knows when I will ever stop counting the months?) Once again, Sophie has amazed her teacher Heather. She even had some tricks up her sleeve for me. Today at her visit, I was explaining that Sophie has started to walk but doesn't do it very often or for more than a few steps at a time. Apparently Sophie was insulted. First she stood up and walked three steps to the coffee table to grab my cell phone. Holding it tightly to her "ear" (back of her head), she began to walk. She walked all over--through the living room and into the dining room, around and around the island in the kitchen. All the while, she seemed to be on a pretty important, although one-sided, phone call. It went something like: "Go-gee go-gee cooky....Gogogogo--oggie oggie....err-grrr louloulou.....rahr goggetty goggetty goo mah--oooohhhmmm cockadoo oohhweee ohhweeeee...goggadoey--eeee" This went on for several minutes, with Sophie speaking in a very intent, sometimes demanding, tone of voice. Finally, she dropped the phone and RAN four steps. Yes, RAN. She is the best.
