Merry Christmas! We are so thankful this year that we can enjoy all of the normal festivities! Check out the pics of the Elf Party we had recently, click on Photos above. The kids invited friends who had to dress up like elves. We watched the Elf Movie and ate spaghetti with maple syrup (ok, I didn't!).
The other exciting thing is that we received a couple of cards from Dory, Conner's donor. She also sent a little wooden Guardian Angel for him, which says 'Dein Schutzengel', which is German. I was pretty certain from her first note to us that her primary language was German. This time she mentioned that it would be easier to express her feelings about donating if she could write it in German, so I was right! We can't wait to learn more about her, including her real name - although she will always be affectionately known as Dory to us. One thing she did mention in a reply specifically to Kelsey, is that she also has a sister. I can imagine that Dory's sister is very proud of her. I already know without meeting her that she is an amazing young woman!
Our wish for all of you is that you will have the opportunity to relax with your family and friends this week. Thank you for continuing to walk this journey with us, we have been so blessed to have you all in our lives. We truly believe that God uses people to answer our prayers and to lift us up. Conner's illness brought many old and new friends who offered their love and support, and for that we are extremely grateful!
Merry Christmas! Kristin
