Today is Mother's Day and we hope all you mothers are having a wonderful day and enjoying all the Lord's blessings as we are. I wrote a very long entry about 2 weeks ago when we got an across the aisle thumbs up in church from our oncologist. We were to see him the next Tues. for results of Sid's 9 month PET scan and blood tests. As I have told you before, I am computer illiterate and at the end hit the "add a picture" and everything was gone! So I am not hitting anything tonight except enter. We have now made the complete round of Sid's team of doctors and I am so happy to tell you that Sid has passed everything, every test, scan, probe or whatever with flying colors!!! He doesn't even see a doctor(except for cumadin INR checks) for 3 months! It feels so wonderful to finally have a calendar doctor visit free. He joined the Huntsville Hospital Fitness Center last week and has begun to work out there several times a week. We went to Destin to his condo last week for the first time in 3 years. We took our bridge crazy friends the Newlins and the guys played the 9 hole golf course there several times a day and we played bridge for far too many hours each day. It was a true blessing to see him doing these activities again. We thank you so very much for all the prayers you have said on our behalf over the past year and a half. Our God is a great God and does answer our prayers in bountiful ways. He certainly has for us and His ever presence in our lives is so real. Please pray for Sid's continued remission, for our upcoming driving trip to Gettysburg (Sid has always wanted to go there) and to the Pennsylvania Amish Country (I want to see the quilts) the first week in June, and for our mission trip to Baja Mexico (San Quintin) in mid-July. Yes, Sid will be pulling teeth again!!! He has begun to practice his whistling to get ready for this dental work. We are especially excited and hopeful about this mission trip because Ken and his son Tyler will be going with us. I will write again in 3 months or so. You can check the box at the top to have entries pop up on your computer whenever a new one is made. Again, thank you so very much for all that each of you has done for us. I know that Sid would not be with us this day if it weren't for your fervent prayers. Thank you so much. Love and God's blessings to each of you, Patty
