Yesterday (Aug 18) was our 1st Anniversary❤ We had a great time at a local organic restaurant. This past year was full of blessings. As being a first time wife, I have learned a lot of things through every moment - in good time and especially in bad time. Bad time doesn’t mean it’s bad. It just means a situation is not present in human’s eyes, but in God’s eyes, these difficulties are also gain.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
I am very proud of my husband. He is such a strong man and hardworking even in fighting with cancer and recovery process. I’m very immature as a wife and also as a Christian, but this experience taught me a lot. God put us in these situations to deepen our faith and our love to God and each other; and show His glory.
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.” (Romans 5:1-5)
I always thank God for all of your prayer, support, and encouragement. Thank you so much for praying for us faithfully. I pray that we can also be prayer warriors for others. Praise the Lord that his rash is almost completely gone. He still has tingly sensation on his fingers and toes from Chemo, but everything else looks good. He stopped taking pain medications last week. He can probably go back to work from home next week. Just need to make sure he’s not pushing himself too much.
This is my personal thing but I’m going back to Japan for about 10 days to see my family because my grandpa passed away suddenly, little before Sherwin’s surgery. I’m very thankful that Sherwin’s mom will stay here to take care of Sherwin until I come back.

昨日(8月18日)は私たちの結婚一周年でした❤有機栽培のレストランで良い時を過ごしました。この一年は、祝福に満ちていました。初めての妻として、時が良くても悪くても、ひと時ひと時から学ぶことは多かったです。時が悪いことが、良くないこととは限りません。ただ、状況が人の目には良く見えないだけで、神様の目から見ると、こういった困難さえも、益につながるのです。
「神を愛する人々、すなわち、神のご計画に従って召された人々のためには、神がすべてのことを働かせて益としてくださることを、私たちは知っています。」（ローマ 8:28）
私は主人のことを誇りに思っています。彼はとても強く、働き者です。それは、癌治療中も、回復している間も同じです。私は妻としてもクリスチャンとしてもまだまだ未熟ですが、この経験から学ぶことは沢山ありました。神様は私たちの信仰と神様や周りの人への愛を深めるため、また、神様の栄光を現すために、私たちをこのような状況に置かれたのだと思います。
「ですから、信仰によって義と認められた私たちは、私たちの主イエス・キリストによって、神との平和を持っています。 またキリストによって、いま私たちの立っているこの恵みに信仰によって導き入れられた私たちは、神の栄光を望んで大いに喜んでいます。そればかりではなく、患難さえも喜んでいます。それは、患難が忍耐を生み出し、忍耐が練られた品性を生み出し、練られた品性が希望を生み出すと知っているからです。この希望は失望に終わることがありません。なぜなら、私たちに与えられた聖霊によって、神の愛が私たちの心に注がれているからです。」（ローマ5:1－5）
いつも皆さんのお祈り、サポート、励ましに感謝しています。忠実にお祈りくださってありがとうございます。私たちも、周りの人のために祈りの戦士になれたらと思います。彼の発疹はほぼ完全になくなりました。主を賛美します。まだ抗がん剤の影響で、手足の指がチクチクするようですが、その他は問題なく回復に向かっています。先週、痛み止めを取るのをやめました。来週には、家で仕事ができるようになると思います。ただ、負担がかかっていないか判断する必要があると思います。
これは、個人的なことですが、ショウエンの手術の少し前に祖父が突然亡くなったため、明日から10日間日本に帰国します。ショウエンのお母さんがここに残ってくれて、ショウエンの世話をしてくださるので、感謝しています。
