Dear Lord, We pray you give Sheldon strength, Lord, that he may not fear.  I know dear God, that when he leaves he will not die, that he shall continue to live in your arms, in our minds and in your spirit forever.  And yet, dear Lord, our heart breaks for those he is leaving...for his incredible parents Val and Mark, his siblings, his extended family, and all his amazing friends and loved ones.  Sheldons spirit will not die but rather enters new channels of life.  The power of God is greater than death.  Our relationships are not severed by death, but refocused beyond physical connection.  As our vision of life changes so will the physical world.  As we lift our eyes above the illusion of death, we will begin to see the eternity of life.  Dear God, we surrender to you, please give Sheldon peace.  Let him feel the Angels tenderness as he exits this world and enters the next.  Let him feel the love of God.  Let him know your peace.  May his family and friends feel the same.  Our love for him is larger than death.  Our bond is eternal.  Take him home.  Please take the soul of Sheldon into the sweetest place.  Sheldon will remain in us forever, as we are all in you together.  The cord that binds us, one to the other, cannot be cut, surely not by death.  For you dear God have brought us together and we remain in eternal connection.  There is no power greater than you.  Please take care of Sheldon and please dear Lord take care of his family.
Amen

I think of you daily, Sheldon.  As I watch these seniors graduate, I think back to your contagious smile and relentless sighing when I gave you more work (te he)!  I hope you relish the love from your family, your friends, your new wife (I've heard through the grapevine--congrats!!), and all your old teachers here at FHS.  I love ya, kid!
