Shawna Weil was a vibrant, fun loving 17 year old girl; a senior at Kennard-Dale High School in Fawn Grove, PA and she worked at the Dollar Tree in Shrewsbury, PA. On November 11, 2003, Shawna's life, as we knew it, ended.

We took Shawna back to Bryn Mawr yesterday as a follow-up to being put on Sinemet.  Since the Sinemet didn't show significant improvement in Shawna, we are going to ween her off of it and try Ritalin.  The weening process will take 2 weeks, then 1 week without anything, followed by starting Ritalin 10mg once daily on the 3rd week.  I will post again with results from the Ritalin trial.
