I have to say I just wrote a long journal entry and it wasn't posted. So, this entry will be the shortened version. Lovely, huh?

One year ago today my Mother joined God in Heaven. I along with my Dad & sister, Allison, cannot believe it is her anniversary. Life has gone on since that day though on many occasions, we have asked, How? When? Not a day goes by we don't all think of her. We miss her and wish she was here with us. The true blessing in her death is she is in Heaven having a beautiful time. One we cannot wait to join her in. My faith has helped me learn and accept that.

Our friends & family have been wonderful. Not only supportive with their thoughts but with hugs, phone calls, laughter, & memories of mom. We couldn't have made it here without them. For that we thank you and will be eternally grateful. My fondest memory is my two closest friends, Renee & Stephanie, being with me on the day of the funeral. They bought a chocolate chess pie, we sat on the floor with forks and ate straight from the box. That moment brought happiness & laughter for my Mom and for me.

We love and miss Mom daily and there is now more smiles, fond memories, and laughter. Thank you for being with us on the long journey. Thank you to God for seeing us through our grief and picking us up along the way.
