Sean;

As we grieve for Sean, we realize that grief is a love word. Which seems to warm our hearts.

John 16:20

Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.

As we remember Sean and his laughter, we are reminded as Nemamiah said" the joy of The Lord is our strength.

This beautiful family has taught me personally so much about their personal walk with Jesus. How it sustains them, embraces them, how to "live a life worthy of The Lord and please Him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of Him. Being strengthened by all power according to His glorious might"

Thank you Mike, Laurie Justin and Steven for truly showing the world Gods infinite love through your extra ordinary walk.

We remember Sean's love, laughter, sense of style ;), tenacious spirit and we look up knowing through the precious Son of our Lord Jesus Christ we will see Sean again

Until that day, I lift up my voice to share the gospel with many so they too can feel the love of Christ as your family so beautifully lived it out in front of the world.

May God Bless you and keep you. May he lift his face to shine upon you and give you peace. Amen.

During this Thanksgiving holiday, we want to thank God for the beautiful life of Sean Karl, for the opportunity to know this loving family, and for the community of volunteers supporting them during their bold and brave witness of faith. As we've told you many times, Karls, you will never know how many you have led to the Lord through this journey.

As it is a tradition of indulgence in most American homes - we hope Justin and Steven are eating too much, Mike and Laurie are sleeping too much, and ALL of you are laughing too much this weekend. God bless you!

As the time nears for all those that loved Sean are gathering in Knoxville, I pray that God comforts you.  May your hearts be burden free during this time of love, sharing of memories, laughter and tears.  Much love to the Karl family. I pray for comfort and healing. God is Good!  God is Great and so is the Karl family!

As we kneel before God, we thank him for the moments, memories and gift of knowing Sean Karl, the man, the brother the son and my friend.

He brought laughter when needed, helped out with dishes when asked. He was the consummate jokester.

Mike, you lived a life that was full with adventures. Sean did more in his short life than I will do in my lifetime. Now that you look back, you created memories in some of the greatest places on earth.

Laurie, you modeled Love. Pure true love. As I watched you take this journey with Sean, you always

Modeled how good God is, how great God is.

Justin and Steven your brother will always live In your hearts.

Thank you all for sharing your son and brother with all of us. We will miss him greatly

Sean......we miss you already. Till we meet again.

Love the Watsons.

You probably have no idea how many families, like ours, quietly admired, envied, respected, and were inspired by Sean through his passion, love and pure talent in the world of tennis. He has been referred to as a role model and used as an example of how an athlete should be and can be; both talented and humble. It wasn't until we were fortunate to become personally acquainted with your family through Jackson befriending Steven that it became obvious that your entire family is worthy of all of the same praise which reflects on the hard work of loving, dedicated parents and family. Thank you for giving the world such a special young man who has touched so many lives in his far too brief time here with us. He will live on forever through our memories and heart and most certainly through the legacy he has left us to reference for all the future tennis players aspiring to one day "be like Sean".
No words can possibly ease your grief, but PLEASE know that Jackson and I are here for you. ANYTHING you need at ANY hour.  Our prayers are with you through this unbelievably difficult time.

Karl Family: prayers and love are coming towards you all as you go through this difficult journey of loss. Your faith is strong and you know Sean is at peace now and walking among the many angels that surround Our Savior. He will always be in your hearts as well as all those whom he touched and even those who were only touched by his journey but did not actually know him. I hope the family can find comfort in knowing how many people Sean touched during his short stay with us on earth and how your family's faith has taught us all to be faithful servants while we are here. I am so sad for your loss but know he will always be with you in your hearts!
