Celebration of Life ceremony
Written Feb 24, 2013 3:45pmFriends and Family,
Please join us this Saturday, March 2nd at 11am at Sunridge Community Church in Temecula to celebrate the life of Scott Raftery. Immediately following the service, we will be providing lunch at the church, catered by one of Scott's favorite restaurants, Rosa's Cantina. We'll be able to join in fellowship and encourage everyone to share their greatest memories of Scott with one another. We encourage everyone to wear something that reminds you of Scott (Disney, Linfield, athletics, etc). In lieu of sending flowers, please feel free to donate to the Roy and Patricia Disney Cancer Center. The address for Sunridge is listed below and more information can be found at www.sunridgechurch.org

A day many will never forget
Written Feb 23, 2013 9:04amToday is a day that none of us wanted to come but one we will never forget. This morning at 4:23am on February 23, 2013 our father, Scott Raftery went to be with Jesus. Our family is so greatful for the love and support you have shown us. Your prayers are much appreciated and thank you for all you have done. More information to come once the family plans his celebration of life ceremony that will be held in Temecula, Ca.God has him now and he is looking down on us. God's comfort is more than enough and He will grieve with us for the lose of our dad. God with you all.
Shane and JustinIsaiah 40:31 says, "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Written Feb 19, 2013 10:33amIt's Tuesday morning and dad's still battling this cancer. Because he is so young and was so healthy, his body is able to continue to fight. It's still hard seeing him in discomfort/pain but I know God's laying with him, holding him, whispering to him that everything is going to be okay... telling my dad to just continue to put his faith in the Lord.A huge update:Shane is currently on his way back to California from Afghanistan!! He was able to push his departure and left this morning. Continue to pray for God's timing in Shane's arrival to see his dad.
