Greetings to all, I just want to say Happy Anniversary again to my husband that I love with all of my heart. I wish I could make him well and have faith that someday soon, he will be completely healed of this crazy brain cancer that he is fighting. We had a good weekend, very busy. We decided to wait to "officially" celebrate our anniversary but we did go out without the girls on Thursday after Scott's oncologist visit. We always like to go to Chelino's in Bricktown. We had a nice lunch and just enjoyed each other's company. In case you missed the last blog, we sent Bogey (our 110 lb English Mastiff) to a foster home. We actually spent most of the afternoon on Saturday (our anniversary) there. The couple are both retired from the Air Force and just finished building their dream home in the country. They also have one of Bogey's little brothers, a kitten and five fainting goats. (Although, we couldn't get them to faint.) Bogey seemed to enjoy himself there and it made it a little easier to leave him. I was sad when Bogey tried to get in the car with us when we were getting ready to drive away. However, I know he will have lots of fun with the other animals and have lots of room to roam....It almost makes me feel bad he has to come back home because they have a much bigger place than ours. I know he will really enjoy his stay there. We really like the family that he is with and he just made himself at home. We have decided to complete some big projects while Bogey is gone and before the winter weather comes in. This week we are going to have new carpet installed so we have spent the weekend and will be spending the next few days taking EVERYTHING out of the house so they can install the carpet. It's like we are moving all over again. What a pain...but it should be nice when it's finished. We also have to have our roof replaced from the bad hail storm in May. I have been putting it off as we have been so busy with everything else. Scott starts taking his chemotherapy again today. Hopefully we will have the house put back to normal before his fatigue starts to set in. We are working hard...which brings me to close so I may get back to work. Thank you again for the Happy Anniversary wishes and thank you for your continued prayers. I was so happy to have Scott home for this year's anniversary as so many years before he was working/flying for the Air Force. Now, that I think about it, he was at a Red Sox game last year with his Air Force buddies.....Man, those Air Force trips are hard work ! LOL ! Just kidding!!!! GOD BLESS.
