Scott,
You do not know me, but I came across a flyer for your fundraiser that is coming up this weekend.  My son had neuroendocrine carcinoma.
It sounds like you are moving forward with your fight and
making very good progress.
I would just like to wish you the best and offer any support that I can give to you or your family.
My son had a fundraiser also and it turned out to be such
an awe-inspiring display of generosity and support and I
hope yours will as well.  I know I plan to be there.

Scott,

I know you don't know me but I wanted to take a moment to compliment your son Cooper.  My son, Parker, and Cooper wrestled in the 1st round of TofC this weekend.  It was one of the most exciting matches I've seen in quite some time.  It is ashame that someone had to lose.  I have to be honest....I think Cooper had that cradle with back points, but that is wrestling.  I'm not writing because of wrestling but because of the way Cooper acted after the match and in the awards area.  As their weight class was clearing out Cooper and Parker were chatting and smiling with each other near the trophies.  After Parker came out with his trophy he said....."he is a really nice kid....I probably wouldn't be so nice if someone beat me like that.  Dad....did you know he was from New York?  He knew I was from Missouri. I want to go to New York"  The friendships kids make in our sport are unique and everlasting.  Cooper made an impression on Parker that was brief but very positive and for that I thank you.

I wish you the best in your recovery.  If there is ever a personality type to whip cancer it is a wrestler.  If there is anything your Missouri wrestling friends can do please let us know.

Take care.

Hi Scott,

Your last entry brought tears to my eyes.  Hope you are doing well.  I pray for you every day.  You have a beautiful family and you also have the right attitude in your heart.  Continue to love them and show them that love every day!  Jeff says that you are doing well.  Thank God for that!  I still say you're OK in my book!
