Hello all!  The Hamilton's want to wish you ALL a very safe and joyous July 4th holiday weekend.  I have had trouble with this site for the past couple of months and have not updated you on on my progress (ie I could not journal).  Thanks to my brother, Stacey, we now can.   We have been doing well overall, but have recently received some terrible news this week.  All prayer warriors, we ask for your continued prayers, thoughts, blessings, and kind words as the biopsy results from 6/26/09 are back and they indicate I have a recurrent cancerous tumor in the gastric area (thicking in the wall of the stomach).... ie the same area it was origianally in....  According to my oncologist, surgery is not an option, radiation is not an option because of all the organs that would be damaged based on where the tumor is, and my cancer is not cureable this time, but we will treat it with chemo to help improve life expentancy.   He indicated a study from Harvard, consisting of 45 people with similar cancer that I have, has seen a median life expectancy of 14.8 months.  I start 4 months of chemo beginning Monday, July 13, 2009.  Yes, this is immensely hard for our family to hear and it has been a LONG 2 days with very little sleep or rest, but we put ALL OUR FAITH in the Great Lord above, who we love so dearly and whom we know works miracles every day.  We pray for total and complete healing and rebute this cancer in the name of Jesus! 

I can't begin to thank each of you for all you have done for us!  The boys and I will be going to Boy Scout Camp at Camp Daniel Boone (in NC) from July 5 through 11 so we can spend some quality time together.  We hope Rebecca will be able to come join us for a couple of days (Monday after work, Tues, and Wed day).
