Welcome back to Saving Sifa!!!!
It has been a busy couple of weeks with final doctors appoinments, goodbye parties and dinners, continued Speech Therapy 3 times a week with Patti and Jen, (precious ladies) and finishing well her last days with her class at Immanuel Christian School.
Thursday, 4/2/09 was Young Authors at ICS, and Sifa read her "book" that she wrote to the class and parents. She was so confident and proud. Later that day she said goodbye, shared a few verses and sang her song (that she wrote about how God is caring for her) to the entire school wide assembly and parents. What a dramatic change from the little girl who stepped off of the plane in November that always wore a hoodie and could barely look you in the eye or speak to you. Isn't God good?!
Thank you all who prayed faithfully for Sifa over these last 5 plus months. God has answered those prayers in miraculous ways. PLEASE keep Sifa in your prayers as she re-adjusts to life in Rwanda and continues her very important but intense therapy to continue to restore her jaw.
Sifa and Florence and Sarah flew out early Friday morning. Praise the Lord for the successful check-in and Ethiopian Airlines even gave them an extra bag free of charge. Thank you Ethiopian Airlines.
Stay tuned for contiued updates and photos. ;)
