Well, chemo round #8 is done. It was an interesting chemo to say the least. Our theme was the Wild Wild West-and it was fun dressing like a cowgirl and the room was so cute! My white counts were down again, but not low enough to postpone treatment. But, we are going to hope that they are high enough by next Wednesday so I can dodge another neupogen injection! Anyhow, for some reason, I was unable to fall asleep during chemo this week, so I was very anxious the entire time. We finally got done and they loaded me into Mike's car. We decided to get some Arby's and then about half way through the drive-through, I started to chill uncontrollably and my muscles began to ache. So, we immediately went back to the hospital. My fever reached 101.4 degrees. They gave me some high-powered pain meds to help with my discomfort. We ended up staying at the hospital until 3:00 a.m. My mom and I both decided that getting a little sleep at home was better than wrestling around in uncomfortable bed/chairs. It was a trying weekend. I didn't really feel all that great. Saturday was Parent's Day at Alpha Xi Delta. It was fun to have everyone there, but I only made it through half of the Virginia Tech game before Mike had to take me home. But, life goes on and I am already feeling a little better! Hope all is well!
