Just wanted to let everyone know that on Tuesday we will be leaving Ft. Benning.  Kevin is already at West Point (and so far seems excited about his job :).)  The boys and I both are experiencing mixed emotions about leaving.  The counselors had asked me how I felt leaving the house but no one asked how the boys felt about it.  Then on Friday, Chase told me he was sad to leave.  When I asked him why, he said he didn't want to leave the house Sarah died in.  He asked alot of questions about resuscitation and other things that day.   He thinks she is still here.  He says she looks the same but talks like a grown up.  I told him if she's still here she'll come with us.  Plus, the government owns the house so we have no choice.  He seemed satisfied with that.

Friday was also the day I went to the hospital to get our records transferred up to WP.  When I asked for Chase, Wesleys, and my records, the clerk came back with all of ours and 1 more. She said "Don't you want Sarah's, aren't you forgetting hers?"  After all that conversation with Chase, I just stood there crying.  Why her records were not taken care of when Kevin had gone up to the hospital previously, I do not know.   I then "retired" her records.  Overall Friday was not a good day.  However, when I checked out the CB notifications, I clicked on Amanda Bell's and there she was holding the Saraphant bracelet.  I can't explain it but to see her  holding the Saraphant bracelet after all she has had to endure from cancer, just really touched me in a good way.  Amanda and her mom were so kind to Sarah (aka the Barney girl until they knew her name).

Recently, I was asked to write Sarah's story for the hospice magazine.  It is to be published late summer.  I will let everyone know how to find the article.  It will be interesting to see how it was edited.  It was extremely hard to write.  I could have written a paragraph or a book.  As hard as it was to write, I am glad that I did.

I'm signing off from Ft. Benning.  I will update on life from West Point.  However, I won't be arriving for a few weeks.   Thank you to all who continue to support us.
