"The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them." Ps 34:7 This present journey continues to twist and shout as the path is set. That Mayo trip we were contemplating developed into reality yesterday morning. Mother and daughter piled in the car and were ushered to Mayo doorstep by Uncle G. It is such a blessing to have those around us that can react at the drop of a hat to fill such an important role in Sarah's treatment. The crew hit the road and arrived safely at the Ramada. Sarah's stoma looked infected and needed some expert analysis. Today, the doctors and nurses reviewed her wound and concluded that she did not have an infection (<----answer to prayer there) .. but that we were tightening the belt to snug and cutting the circulation off. They have adjusted the fit and customized the apparatus to allow a recovery of the skin in the area. The doctor commented that we would be surprised at how swiftly her body would repair. HA! Does that surprise me? NO! These bodies we have are God-made, full of complicated mechanisms, processes and capable of adaptability beyond our imaginations. We rejoice in the news and lift our praises to our Lord for His quick response! P.S. Lord, how about some kid noises in the empty house while they are gone? :)
