My Story

I'm 35 (now). On Oct. 6, 2006 (when I was 33), I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had bilateral mastectomies in October 2006. Between November 06 and May 07, I had 18 rounds of chemotherapy. I have a genetic mutation on the BRCA1 gene. In June 07, I had a prophylactic ovariohysterectomy. I am having reconstructive surgery on July 1, 2008.

I'm home! Thanks for all the support - the surgery went wonderfully and I am really happy with the results. I'll still be recovering at home for a couple of weeks.
