Ted, and wonderful children,
I thought of you and prayed for you as you accept God's plan for Sandy. I mentioned the Floore family in 'Prayers for the People" at All Saints Service and during the Christmas Eve Service.  Grief is the hardest of the tasks we are given and the time when we most feel the power of the Holy Spirit.  May my prayers and the prayers of your family and many friends soften you heart and give you peace.

Character August Boatwright in the Secret Life of Bees [one of Sandy's favorites] told Lily Owens as the truth unfolded about Lily's past, "life leads into death and death into life".  As I contemplate the meaning of this statement I am filled with joy knowing that death leads to life eternal. However I can not deny my sorrow as my beloved sister is no longer of this earth. I look forward to the day we will be reunited in God's Kingdom in everlasting life.Best wishes to all who have been touched by Sandy.

Ted I will always remember you all. I laugh when I think of Sandy.  She always had a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face.  She was an encourager.  May God continue to give you the strength to go on.  Enjoy the memories and the years together.
I will continue to keep the family in my prayers.

Ted and family,
I continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Sandy was a special person who never met a stranger. I am one of many who had my life enriched by knowing her. My last memories were some conversations we had about "the children" during a water aerobics class. She was so proud of each of you and only needed a little prompting to bring me up to date on what everyone was doing! Blessings and love for the new year. Barbara

Dear Floore family!  I just found out about your mom.  Some of my best teaching memories involve you great kids and your intelligent, wise, and entertaining mom. She did me an immense personal and professional favor when you guys were middle school students.  My love to you all and your dad.

Ted, and kids,
This entry really touches me as I sit in a rehab facility with my husband's mother at age 95.  I love the opportunity to care for her as she cared for me so many years. And now, I realize her dash counts for so much, as did Sandy's.  Thinking of all of you often.  Thank you for your sensitive and loving ministry throughout Sandy's illness. You guided so many of us when we thought we were helping you.

This is Sandy's birthday weekend.  I wanted to share with everyone the sampler she needle pointed for me when she was in her 20's.
"We shared many secrets, the same Mom and Dad.  We shared lots of good times.  Don't think of the bad.  Our memories we'll cherish with love without end.  I'm glad your're my Sister.  I'm glad you're my Friend"
Happy Birthday Sandy!!

Today is Sandy's birthday one which for most of us is a milestone. I suspect Sandy thought all of her birthday's were milestones reflecting on her past achievements and future challenges. I recall two occasions of great achievement in Sandy's young life. One was the fashion show at Leestown College [not confident of name] in Lexington, KY and the other a baby wear and accessories business she started with a friend. The family attended both events admiring Sandy's  hard work, creativity and commitment. Sandy eventually began to make clothes for Ted that he wore proudly [as far as I know]. I am grateful to have a few pieces of Sandy's needlework that someday will be passed on to her girls for safe keeping. When speaking with Sandy over the several months prior to her passing I reminded her that I still have the dancing pig she gave me for my 16th birthday. I wind it up occasionally but like all things with age, it's starting to slow down and its shimmy is less apparent. I read a note the other day Sandy had written on a box that contained a bracelet she gave me. She was then, as we have always known her to be a kind and caring person. Something I was unable to say at Sandy's memorial service was that every time she called, she began each conversation with much enthusiasm stating "Cherylleral this is your sister Sandy". I look forward to the day that I hear those sweet words again as we gather in God's kingdom.

I was thinking about you and the children last night and hoping that you were doing well.  We all will celebrate Sandy's  dash.  She is part of our dash and made it that much better.  She was a joyous part of our dash.  What a tribute to you and the family that I really do not remember her when she wasn't laughing.  Some people do more with their 60 years than others do with 85!  I send much love to you.
