Hello,
I saw my oncologist yesterday and it wasn't good news. The chemo didn't work very well, he said it was less than average. It didn't shrink the tumor very much and the cancer should have been gone from my lymph nodes but it wasn't. He ran my results through software that MD Anderson, the main cancer center in the US, uses and here's the results. I have a 44% chance of remaining disease free for 5 years (not bad) and an 18% chance for 10 years (not so good). I'm by no means looking at this as a death sentence!! But it's not as good as we were expecting. I'm doing well with this info. What are you going to do, right? I choose to live today to the best of my ability and trust in God. No matter the outcome this is God's deal.
Mom and Krystal were with me when I got the news. They are a bit more upset, bless their hearts. Mom took us out for a fabulous dinner at Sullivan's, one of the best resturants in Austin. We had such a great meal. I so love my family! Thanks Mom!!!!!
Tonight is a major night. Krystal is getting her one year medallion!!!! Mom, Sean, Kristen and I are all going. This is so wonderful!! My daughter is one of the most amazing people I've ever known. Please keep her in your prayers.
Please keep all of my family in your prayers. This news is so hard for them.
Judy and Larry, thank you so much!!! I can't begin to tell you how much your gift has helped us! Thank you for being in our lives. I hope to be able to see you sometime!
love to all,
Sandy
