It has been a rough couple of days. I went in on Monday for my routine scan thinking that everything was fine and dandy. When I went with Dr. U on Tuesday, I was floored to learn that I have a 5 cm tumor in my hip. He ordered a PET scan for Thursday to rule out any other metastatic sites. I have been on pins and needles ever since. The preliminary report that I got today shows that my hip is the main site of action. This is wonderful news and I thank those of you who have been praying. I will meet with the radiation onc today to see if stereotactic radiation is an option. I will still have to have my ovaries shut down and switch estrogen therapies but no chemo for now. Who knew you could be so happy to have cancer? I will keep taking one day at a time and baby steps forward. Big, giant, virtual hugs to you all!
