Journal entry by Stacey Schumann

Sam had two appointments last week…
Thursday was with the endocrinologist.  We talked about how he has been growing since surgery and whether or not to put him back on growth hormone shots.  So she ordered a few tests(bone growth x-ray & labs).  She’ll take a look and let us know if she thinks he should start back or if we can wait until summer to see how he is growing on his own.

He has gained over 10 pounds and grown about 1.5 inches since September!!!!

Friday Sam had a heart cath.  They measured his pressures, which looked good. They looked at his function and how his vessels were working.  Everything looked great.
They also took away 2 more medications.

But the BEST NEWS was that the biopsies show that there is NO sign of rejection anymore!!!!🎉🎊🥳

We got the email today…
And his biopsy results show no evidence of cellular or antibody mediated rejection! Lastly, there is no evidence of coronary artery vasculopathy. ”

We couldn’t be happier.  This was still a piece that was weighing on us ever since we left the hospital.

He had the biggest smile on his face when we told him.
We are excited to begin our “normal” lives.
