Donor cells rule in Sam's body! The enzyme Sam had failed to make causing MLD is coarsing through his veins! Immune functions came back "wonderful."  Baclofen dose is just perfect! Breathing easier? Yes we are!

And now the fun begins again... Sam has been off of steroids for 1 week. 1 more week to go and we will begin weaning his anti-rejection med.  This is when he developed the anemia that caused him to be on the steroids.  1 more week and we begin to hold our breaths again.

Sam asked me the other day how the germs got in his brain. I took the easy way out and simply told him he was born with them in there.  This was after he wanted to know why he couldn't swim as well as he used to.  The strength he has gained in just the 2 weeks we've been home and in the pool most days is amazing.  Swim Sam swim!!

Edited to Add: I have many more wonderful photos to add to the blog....they'll get there, they'll get there.....
