Sam continues to do well in therapy - Praise God! So many people have been praying for the storm (Fay) to stay away from the area so that Sam can continue therapy - your prayers have been working! It's AMAZING to me to watch the weather radar and it appears as though the storm is sitting right over the Orlando area. Danny hasn't had any trouble driving to the therapy center and he says the weather hasn't been that bad. Tonight, he said it was raining pretty steadily, so pray things don't get worse! It's hard to top Monday's achievement, but Sam sat for another 15 minutes or so on Tuesday. He is prop sitting (cross-legged with his hands down beside him) and the therapist is providing him with contact guard assist, but they are all so excited with how well he is doing. Today, he worked on a different kind of sitting - long-legged sitting independently. With this, his legs were straight out in front of him and his hands were down beside him. This is much harder to do, but Sam sat independently this way for nearly two minutes! Danny said the therapists were very excited about that. Tomorrow will be Sam's reassessment day - they will be making his ending video. Do you remember me telling you about the first one?? Surely we can top that! Pray that he does well and that the therapists see huge improvements in Sam overall. Danny said that he already notices a lot of things - particularly Sam's head control. Also, he is getting closer and closer to bringing himself up to sitting. Pray that he gets there! Two more days! Words can not express how thankful we are that Sam had the opportunity to have this therapy session. We are beyond thrilled with the care he has received there - he has been in wonderful hands. It is clear to us that God brought us to this place and it looks as though Sam will be going back for another session in December. Please pray for all of that to work out smoothly and that God will begin preparing Sam now for the big changes He has in store for him in the next session. It is typical to see the most results from a suit therapy session in the weeks following the therapy session - so we pray that BIG things are on the horizon! Please continue to pray for Sam's RESTORATION - we know the best is yet to come! Thank you for praying - God hears! We love you! Dan and Kahne
