Sammie is currently NED from a two year battle against Osteosarcoma please read My Story section for the timeline..
Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you
just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come.
You wait, and watch and work: you don't give up.

The holidays are over and the kids are back in school.. We all had a busy 2 weeks and had many celebrations that made the break lots of fun! Sammie is doing well and is finally getting eyelashes, eyebrows, and some hair on her head. She is really happy about that and so you can tell she feels better about herself. She is still on her crutches ,however, she is putting her foot down on the ground more so I think there is hope she may be able to walk again someday without the aid of the crutches.

We really look forward to having Sammie's broviac removed in Feb after her scans. That will be nice for her too.... I hope I can get myself in a better place where I do not spend all my time worrying about the cancer coming back..So many kids have lost their battle in the last month from Osteo it is hard to get it out of my head...I want to move on but I can not tell you what a challenge that is.

Hope the 2009 finds you all healthy and happy...

With Faith

Chris
