Happy New Year! Here we are at week 68 of treatment, exactly 52 weeks left! I guess it is too soon to begin a count down. Samantha's counts at the clinic were okay. Her ANC was at 900 with a white blood count of 1.9. Her hemoglobin and platelets continue to be in the normal range as they have for a while. She got the Vincristine and is back on the Dex for 5 days. At least on the Dex we know her counts won't go down during the week. She went to a movie/sleep over birthday party last night, hopefully the Dex won't kick in too bad. We are expecting her home later on this morning. Please pray that she doesn't get too achy or moody this week. We all start back to school on Monday. Some of our St. Jude friends are in need of specific prayers at this time. Samantha was excited to see Lexi at the clinic yesterday but she has been battling pneumonia. Christian began to feel funny during his chemo earlier in the week, please pray that he won't have any serious reactions as he has had in the past. Catie's counts have been bouncing around at 0, 100, then 31 yesterday. Please pray that she can remain fever and infection free as she gets ready to head to Memphis for a couple of days to begin Reinduction II. You can visit her site by typing in catienester on the CB home page. We saw Rachel again at the clinic this Friday. She has been home from her BMT since the middle of December. It is a slow process but she feels a little better each day. Austin is in Memphis waiting for his limb sparing surgery. His surgery has been delayed due to the prosthesis being stuck in France where it was made. We are praying it will get shipped to Memphis ASAP so that his family won't have to wait too much longer for his surgery. Thanks for all your support and prayers for us as well as our extended St. Jude family. Love, Liz
