On November 6th at about 4:30 PM, Ryan was injured while trying to clear corn stocks from the corn header.  Cousin Tyler and friend Aaron were right by and were able to activate the First Responders. Teams from Walcott, Colfax and Kindred all arrived.  Tyler also requested Sanford LifeFlight was needed.  Ryan was airlifted to Sanford Health in Fargo shortly after 5 PM.  Ryan was alert the entire time and has been surrounded by loving family, friends and caregivers.  The Surgeon removed Ryan's right leg above the knee. We are so thankful for all the love and prayers that have been lifted up to God for Ryan.  We are going to fight this like a war and take one battle at a time.  Today  the goal will be pain management and he will actually start Physical Therapy.  We will keep you updated everyday.

Hello All,

I just wanted to say THANKS!!!! to everyone who organized the benefit on Friday night and to everyone who came to support me! I couldn't have asked for anything more. I tried my best to talk to everyone but I know i missed a bunch of people unintentionaly. The attendance was so amazing and the bidding on both auctions was a little crazy but it was exciting. Maybe Grandma Helen should start turning out more lemon bread for how much money that brought it!! Overall I just couldn't be happier with how it went. It is hard to express how appreciative I am of all this support from friends and family. It would be a lot harder to go through this without you guys so thank you.
