It's hard to believe Russell is finishing up his 5th week of radiation treatments this Friday. His last day of treatment is schedule for October 22nd. He is really doing well has not experience some of the side effects that can come with these treatments. This has allowed him to continue with school, physical therapy and spending time with friends. We are all looking forward to Russell finishing his treatments. He will have a MRI and CAT SCAN done 3 weeks after treatment to determined the results of the chemo and radiation treatment. I can't tell you how proud we are of the way Russell has gone through this whole process. His courage and determination has really touched a lot of people. Jenny Macrea who has been diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently going through chemo. She continues to send the message of courage and strength to others. He showed up this weekend and participated in the womens bike race. It was a true display of her having cancer and cancer doesn't have her. She's a true winner! I look back over the past 172 days when this all started and realized how blessed we are to have all of you making this time in Russell's life one full of love and support. From day one there has been family and friends that have help carry Russell and the family through this time and we can't thank you enough. We invite you to come out and visit with Russell and meet Jenny. More than anything it would be chance for Russell and the family to say thanks.
