On October 25th Roxy came down with flu-like symptoms. On October 26th she was admitted to the ER with a rare form of bacterial meningitits. Doctors told her husband she had a 50% chance of living through the next days.
There is no explanation as to why or how Roxy had contracted this disease. Her strength and will to live kept her with us!!
Roxy has received her new legs and is progressing quite nicely. Rehab staff call her a "rock star" and are amazed at how well she adapts. She is learning to do stairs, hills, and how to fall correctly. She is also learning to kneel and get up. That will be useful when she begins to garden again.
