Roxy Mueller's Journal
Written May 20, 2009 7:26pmRoxy has received her new legs and is progressing quite nicely. Rehab staff call her a "rock star" and are amazed at how well she adapts. She is learning to do stairs, hills, and how to fall correctly. She is also learning to kneel and get up. That will be useful when she begins to garden again.
Written Apr 26, 2009 9:55amBenefit held for Roxy was a HUGE success! Parking lot overflowed, all auction items were sold and food almost ran out. She was humbled by the experience and so appreciative.
Written Apr 23, 2009 7:37pmRoxy's legs are ready for rehab. Adjustments have been made to the prosthetic and she will start learning to walk with them, which includes stairs, ramps, uneven terrain.
She has made the front page of the local paper and has been interviewed and photographed for the Pioneer Press. The article should be in Friday's edition.
Roxy also looks forward to the benefit held in her behalf at the VFW in Cottage Grove this Saturday. She is both nervous and excited to see friends and well-wishers so that she can thank them.
